Thematically, my work reflects basic life issues – emotion, spirituality, identity and memory. It is “inner-directed” art created out of my personal experience. Who am I ? What do I feel? What is important to me? Provoking questions is my goal… not necessarily answers.
Just as experience is layered – in time, memory, and emotion -- my work is a result of building layers until a resolution is reached. Mediums of choice are those that allow me to work in stages or layers – printmaking, drawing, collage and painting.
I believe every viewer responds to a piece of art from their own perspective, creating connections to images and color.
